Sorry for the slight delay in "iTunesified" GB2RS PODCast this week.

I have just returned from Australian Hams "big day out" - The Wyong Field Day - the largest such event in the Southern Hemisphere.

Small in comparison to Freidrichshafen or Dayton Hamfests, possibly smaller than some of the UK Radio Rallies but a large event given the smaller Amateur Radio population in Australia, run by a small ARC, the Central Coast ARC which I am proud to be a member of.

I saw Hams from every state and territory attending (some holding joint Australian and UK calls like myself)  and initial numbers point to around 1450 attendees, not too far different from last year and this year the attendance may have been reduced by a (much smaller) rally in Victoria, which for some unknown reason decided to run their event on the same day as Wyong Field Day has been on for many years.

Anyway, enough of the news from "down under", please enjoy the GB2RS news bullitten, this week including some local Midlands club news as well.

It's just 7 days to Australia's largest Amateur Radio event - The CCARC Wyong Field day at Wyong racecourse on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia. This 54th year of the event expects to see over 1500 visitors, there will be 15 traders, 14 exhibitors, and around 30-40 car boot sale flea marketeers. There are lectures and you can even take the exam to get or upgrade your license at the field day.

Please remember if you are coming to have the entry fee of $12 per person available in correct change to speed your entry to this great event!

For the Aussie Hams who take this Podcast I look forward to seeing some of you there.
